Yu-Gi-Oh UK Open & Gensys launch weekend Hosted by....

We’ve got massive news. The Yu-Gi-Oh! UK Open and GENESYS Launch Weekend is coming to Liverpool in March 2026... With The Gamers Lodge team as the acting hosts!!! We’re excited to welcome players from across the UK to a full weekend of competitive play and organised events with a dash of the welcoming Lodge atmosphere thrown in!

Taking place at The Grand Ballroom at The Adelphi Hotel (which is a six minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street), this two-day event will feature the Yu-Gi-Oh! UK Open on Day 1, followed by the UK launch event for GENESYS on Day 2. Alongside the main events, there will be a wide range of on-demand activities running throughout the weekend.

  The Day 1 Yu-Gi-Oh! UK Open features a Nintendo Switch 2 for 1st place, alongside booster prizes, trophies, oversized cards, regional items, and invites and WQP depending on attendance. Prizing for the GENESYS UK Launch Event on Day 2 will be supported by Konami, with full details to be confirmed.

  Players attending the event can receive 20 percent off accommodation at The Adelphi Hotel during the event period.

  The event takes place in Liverpool city centre, with food, drink, and amenities available on site and additional food options within a short walk of the venue.

  The Gamers Lodge and Shufflers Inn will be present throughout the weekend, providing easy access to cores, singles, sleeves, mats, and other accessories without needing to leave the venue.

• Accessibility and comfort

  The venue offers full disability access, with fixed seating available on request to support player comfort during long competitive rounds.

Tickets and Important Information

Tickets will be available until 21:00 on Friday 20th March, so we strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. This isn’t an event you’ll want to miss.

Food and drink will be available at the venue, with The Adelphi serving a dedicated drinks list and providing free water. Additional food options are available within a short walk, as the venue is located in Liverpool city centre.

Both our team and Shufflers Inn will be present as vendors across the weekend, supplying cores for Time Wizard, GENESYS, and Advanced Constructed formats, as well as singles. The Gamers Lodge will also be stocked with sleeves, mats, and other accessories.

For players travelling in, The Adelphi Hotel has offered 20 percent off accommodation for attendees during the event period. Information regarding free or discounted parking will be shared once confirmed.

Day 1: Yu-Gi-Oh! UK Open 2026

Saturday 21st March 2026

Day 1 will feature the Yu-Gi-Oh! UK Open, running in the Advanced Constructed format. Doors will open at 8:30am, with rounds beginning at 10:30am.

The event will run Swiss rounds, with each round lasting 45 minutes and played as best of three. The event cap for Day 1 is 640 players, with 9 rounds currently planned.

Prizing for the UK Open includes a Nintendo Switch 2 for 1st place, along with trophies, boosters, oversized cards, regional items, and invites and WQP depending on attendance.

Day 2: GENESYS Event UK Launch

Sunday 22nd March 2026

Day 2 continues with the GENESYS UK Launch Event, giving players the opportunity to compete in the GENESYS format. Doors will again open at 8:30am, with rounds starting at 10:30am.

The GENESYS event has an initial cap of 256 players, with the potential for expansion in the case of high demand. The format will run 45-minute best-of-three rounds, with 7 or more rounds depending on attendance, followed by a Top 8 cut.

Prizing for the GENESYS event is to be confirmed and will be supported with prizes from Konami. Further details will be shared closer to the event.

On-Demand and Public Events

Across both days, there will be a wide range of on-demand events available for players looking to take part outside of the main tournaments.

Day 1 will include Advanced Constructed, Retro Pack 2 Draft, Time Wizard 2010, GENESYS Trial Deck events, Dragon Duel for under 15s, and additional Advanced Constructed options.

Day 2 will feature Advanced Constructed, Retro Pack 2 Draft, GENESYS events, GENESYS Trial Decks, Dragon Duel for under 15s, and more Advanced Constructed events.

Decklists and Rules

Decklists for both Day 1 and Day 2 main events must be submitted via KCGN. Submissions open from Saturday 14th March 2026, and all decklists must be submitted by 21:00 the day before the event.

The official Yu-Gi-Oh! rulebook applies and can be accessed via the official Konami resources.
